Newly submitted manuscripts are initially screened by the Editor-in-Chief. Manuscripts may be rejected at this stage if they are deemed not to meet quality standards, fall outside the scope of the journal, or lack originality. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be forwarded to the Editor for further review by designated reviewers.
Reviewers are selected based on expertise, availability, and to avoid potential conflicts of interest. Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:
- Has a strong scientific foundation,
- Is original and relevant,
- Is clearly written,
- Properly cites previous work, and
- Falls within the scope of the journal.
All manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review process, including an initial editorial screening and anonymous evaluation by at least two independent reviewers. The final decision (acceptance or rejection) is made by the Editorial Board based on the reviewers’ recommendations. There is no direct communication between authors and editors regarding rejection decisions; however, authors will receive an official explanation of the rejection.
This journal implements a double-blind peer review system to ensure the confidentiality of both authors’ and reviewers’ identities. Therefore, authors are required to remove any personal information from the manuscript and file metadata before submission. Technical guidelines for removing personal details are provided for various versions of Microsoft Word and PDF.
Peer Review Workflow
- Manuscript submission by the author.
- Initial screening and selection by the Editor/Manager (manuscripts may be accepted, rejected, or sent for review).
- Peer review by reviewers.
- Editorial decision notification (accept, revision required, or reject) communicated to the author.
- Manuscript revision by the author based on reviewers’ feedback.
- Resubmission of the revised manuscript.
- Final decision (acceptance) if revisions are deemed adequate.
- Galley proof preparation and publication.
One round of peer review generally covers steps 1–5. Each manuscript typically undergoes at least two rounds of review.
Editorial Decisions
- Accepted without revision – the manuscript is published as it is.
- Accepted with minor revisions – the manuscript is published after small corrections.
- Accepted with major revisions – the manuscript is published after substantial changes requested by reviewers/editors.
- Revise and resubmit (conditional rejection) – the manuscript may be reconsidered after significant improvements.
- Rejected (outright rejection) – the manuscript is not published and will not be reconsidered.
