3. Online Submission
All manuscripts must be submitted through the GeoScienceEd Journal online submission system available on the journal’s website. Authors must register for an account or log in before submission.

4. Submission Acknowledgment
Upon submission, the corresponding author will automatically receive a confirmation email.

5. Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team will review the completeness, scope, and adherence to the journal’s guidelines. Manuscripts not meeting basic requirements will be returned to the authors for revision.

6. Plagiarism Check
Manuscripts will be screened for similarity. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 25% may be rejected or returned for revision.

7. Peer Review Process
After passing the initial screening, manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review. Authors may be asked to revise their work based on reviewers’ comments.

8. Final Decision
The editorial board will evaluate the reviewers’ feedback and decide whether the manuscript is accepted, requires further revision, or is rejected. The corresponding author will be notified by email.

9. Revision and Resubmission
If revisions are requested, authors must respond comprehensively to all comments and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified deadline. A point-by-point response to reviewers’ comments must also be included.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

1. Format and Language
Write clearly and concisely in either Indonesian or English. Follow the journal’s word limits and formatting requirements. Carefully check spelling and grammar before submission.

2. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts must follow the journal’s prescribed format. Use the template available on the GeoScienceEd Journal website to ensure consistency. The general structure includes:

  • Title Page: Provide a concise, descriptive title (maximum 20 words). Include the names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors. Indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk (*).

  • Abstract: A 200–250 word summary outlining the background, objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions. Provide 4–6 keywords to facilitate indexing.

  • Main Text: Organize into the following sections:

    • Introduction: Present the problem, research gap, and study objectives.

    • Methods: Describe research design, data collection, and analysis in sufficient detail for replication.

    • Results and Discussion: Present and interpret findings, comparing them with previous studies.

    • Conclusion: Summarize key findings and their implications.

  • References: Follow APA 6th edition style. Include recent references, with at least 80% from the past ten years, primarily from journal articles, proceedings, theses, or dissertations.

  • Figures and Tables: Provide high-quality figures and well-labeled tables. Place tables within the text, while figures should be uploaded separately in JPEG or PNG format (300 dpi).

  • Acknowledgments: Mention funding sources, institutional support, and contributors not listed as authors.

  • Ethics Statement: Provide ethical approval details if the research involves human or animal subjects.

  • Notes: Use only horizontal lines in tables. Place table numbers and titles above the tables; figure captions, charts, or diagrams should be placed below.
