This study aims to determine the effect of a children’s board game based on the local wisdom of the Sasak tribe on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject at SDN 43 Cakranegara. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of the one-group pretest-posttest type. The study sample consisted of 38 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques included a critical thinking skills test and classroom observation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, a normality test, and a paired-sample t-test. The results showed that the average pretest score was 53.37 and the average posttest score was 72.30, indicating an average increase of 19.93 points. The normality test results indicated that both the pretest and posttest data followed a normal distribution. The paired-sample t-test results showed a p-value of less than 0.001, which is significantly smaller than 0.05. Meanwhile, the results of the observation of instructional implementation yielded an average percentage of 80.95%, which falls into the “good” category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of a children’s board game based on the local wisdom of the Sasak tribe has an impact on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in the IPAS subject at SDN 43 Cakranegara.
