This study aimed to describe the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in IPAS learning and the strengthening of Sustainability Awareness and Future Orientation among fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model. The research was conducted with 16 fifth-grade students at SDN Banjaran 6 Kota Kediri in September 2026 through three learning sessions. The learning focused on the topic “Where Is Clean Water in My Environment?” and implemented PBL through five stages: orienting students to the problem, organizing students for learning, investigation, presenting the results, and analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process. Data were collected using Sustainability Awareness and Future Orientation questionnaires, as well as an observation sheet of PBL implementation. The results showed that the average Sustainability Awareness score reached 82.34%, while Future Orientation reached 83.13%. These findings indicate that the implementation of PBL provided opportunities for students to understand water-related problems, consider their impacts, determine solutions, and connect present actions with future water conditions. Thus, PBL can be used in IPAS learning to support the strengthening of Sustainability Awareness and Future Orientation among elementary school students.
