Pengembangan Media Papan Pop-Up Ekosistem Sawah Untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar IPA Murid Kelas V SD

Learning motivation is an important factor supporting students’ involvement and achievement in science education. Preliminary analysis showed that fifth-grade students had low motivation in learning science, particularly on the rice paddy ecosystem, while the use of interactive learning media remained limited. This study aimed to develop Rice Paddy Ecosystem Pop-Up Board media and determine its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students’ science learning motivation. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The participants were fifth-grade students at SDN Mangunjaya 01. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, observations, and pre- and post-questionnaires of learning motivation. The results showed that the media obtained an average expert validation score of 93.19%, categorized as highly feasible. Teacher responses reached 100%, while student responses reached 84.89%, categorized as highly practical. Students’ average motivation score increased from 20.44 before implementation to 41.90 after using the media. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), and the N-Gain score reached 77.18%, categorized as effective. Therefore, the Rice Paddy Ecosystem Pop-Up Board is feasible, practical, and effective in improving students’ science learning motivation
