Abstract

This study aims to develop a Problem Based Learning (PBL) Based Pocket Book in Science Learning for Fourth Grade Students of SD Negeri 36 Lubuk Linggau. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection in this study was carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The validation results show that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Based Pocket Book developed is suitable for use in learning with a score of 0.96 for language, 0.89 for media, and 0.97 for material, resulting in an average validity score of 0.94 (high). The results of the practicality test showed 83.33% of individual student practicality (One-To-One Trial), 86.67% of small group practicality (Small Group), and 94% of teacher practicality, with an average of 88% (very practical). The Problem Based Learning (PBL) Based Pocket Book also improves students' understanding of local economic material, as seen in the pre-test score of 45.5, post-test score of 82, and N-gain score of 0.66 (while the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Based Pocket Book in Science Learning for Grade IV Students of SD Negeri 36 is suitable for use as a learning medium.
