This study aims to analyze the effect of a local wisdom-based Realistic Mathematics Education approach on the learning outcomes regarding fractions among fourth-grade elementary school students. The study employed a quantitative approach with a control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of 22 students in the control group and 23 students in the experimental group from the fourth grade of MI Muhammadiyah 01 Payaman. Data were collected using multiple-choice questions administered before and after the intervention. Data analysis included the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the paired-sample t-test. The results showed an increase in the mean score from 0.59 in the pretest to 0.88 in the posttest. These findings indicate that the use of a local wisdom-based Realistic Mathematics Education approach influences student learning outcomes. Thus, this approach is suitable as an alternative method for mathematics instruction in elementary schools to support the improvement of learning outcomes.
